The Wedgewood Hotel & Spa in Vancouver is seeking an experienced Assistant Outlet Manager to lead daily dining room operations in Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge. You will supervise service, manage staff on the floor, and ensure a flawless guest experience with attention to ambiance and presentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in a fine dining establishment.

• Ability to supervise ambiance, lighting, settings and overall presentation.
• Experience with inventory management and cost-control on the floor.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in a fine dining establishment
• Management/Supervisory experience an asset
• Enjoys working within a team to achieve great results
• Must be a prominent presence on the floor in Bacchus
• Ability to supervise restaurant ambiance, music, lighting, settings, style and overall presentation
• Maintain the highest level of service standards
• Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, ensuring all inventory is maintained and documented accurately
• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness, maintenance and presentation plus safety of the restaurant through inspections and ensures areas of deficiency are resolved to achieve service expectations
• Ensure the overall smooth operation of the outlet, managing labor effectively, working on cost saving techniques, opening and closing responsibilities
• Excellent Food & Beverage knowledge
• Wine Training (ISG or WSET) or experience an asset
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience on Squirrel or Micros and Tock an asset
• Must be legal to work in Canada without restrictions or sponsorship
• Comfortable working a flexible schedule
