Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking an Assistant Residence Dining Manager to oversee daily residence dining operations, focusing on inventory management, labour planning, budgeting, and food cost control. You will lead frontline staff to deliver high-quality service, respond to resident feedback, and ensure strict health and safety standards are met.

You will monitor stock, place orders, track costs, and contribute to cost-efficient dining operations while maintaining a positive dining environment

Job description

Assistant Residence Dining Manager

Support and oversee daily residence dining operations with a strong focus on inventory management, labour planning, customer service excellence, budget compliance, food cost control, and health and safety standards. Ensure accurate inventory tracking, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain service levels. Manage labour scheduling and workforce allocation to meet operational needs while staying within approved budgets.

Provide leadership and hands-on management experience to support and guide frontline staff in delivering consistent, high-quality service. Maintain a strong customer service focus by ensuring resident satisfaction, responding to feedback, and promoting a positive dining environment. Monitor and control food costs through portion control, waste reduction, and accurate reporting.

Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and workplace compliance. Support financial accountability through budget monitoring and accurate data entry, contributing to efficient and cost-effective dining operations.
