Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Front of House Supervisor to lead dining operations in Toronto. The role includes training, managing, and onboarding staff, and overseeing FOH inventory to ensure high valuation and minimal waste.

Coordinate with Marketing/Events for proper calendars, supervise beverage service when applicable, and support catering events tied to the community. Uphold policies, build client relationships, and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

  • Ensures staff on task and QA standards are met while keeping the operation clean.
  • Monitors marketing and coordinates with Activities and Marketing for events and dining calendars.
  • Upholds company policies and procedures to meet client expectations.
  • Trains and supervises alcoholic beverage service when applicable.
  • Assists with catering events and manages related set-ups (BEOs, event management).
  • Maintains positive relationships with clients, residents, and back-of-house teams.
  • Oversees internal/external communications and vendor interactions.
  • Supports daily and weekly dining program setup (Teaching Kitchens, Chef's Tables, etc.).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Monitors marketing, confirming that signage is current and appropriate. Additionally, working with Activities

and Marketing departments to ensure proper events and dining calendars are communicated/updated.

  • Upholds policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with company and client expectations.
  • Trains and supervises alcoholic beverage service if applicable
  • Assists with catering events tied to the community internally and externally. Including BEO's and event

management and execution.

  • Maintains a positive working relationship with client, residents, and back of house team.
  • Works with vendors as needed to increase positive cost results.
  • Works cooperatively with other management regarding attendance and staffing to achieve maximum results
  • Oversees financial aspects of first-class bar/concession stand operations and cashier closeouts.
  • Consistent daily meal rounding in all dining venues.
  • Utilize resident satisfaction audit tools to adjust service needs.
  • Track and follow up on resident comments cards
  • Support culinary in daily and weekly setup of dining programmed events i.e. Teaching Kitchens, Chef's Tables,

Superfood Display etc.

  • Manages internal and external communication with resident and guest orders and needs, including and not

limited use of phones, email, radio(s) or any other form of communication tool.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
