Pullman & Mercure Brisbane King George Square is a large, vibrant 438-room twin-towered hotel that acts as a sanctuary for leisure and business travelers as well as a place to be with our external-facing venues. Located opposite King George Square, City Hall, and ideally situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD, the hotel has some of the largest conference spaces in Brisbane, including 2 ballrooms.

The hotel also features popular external venues including Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Café, Sixteen Antlers Rooftop Bar, as well as internal venues like KG Bar, Expresso Bar, and our Executive Lounge.

We are looking for our next Duty Manager - Front Office to join our team!

Job Description
  • Assist with the management of all operational departments as required
  • Management of roster, costings, and forecasting
  • Professional development of Guest Service Agents & Porters to ensure strong succession planning
  • Involvement in and management of setting KPIs for Front Office & guest satisfaction
  • Process and assist with check-in, check-out of guests, ensuring all procedures are adhered to
  • Assist in all areas of the hotel to eliminate potential issues including Food & Beverage operations
  • Immediately attend to guest requests, and lead by example to other members of the team by being proactive and resourceful
  • Responsibility for the health and safety of all patrons, guests, and staff members
  • Oversee the entire guest experience from reservation to departure
Qualifications
  • Your natural bright and bubbly customer service style that can surprise our guests sets you apart. You are confident and approachable, able to initiate conversations easily.
  • You can manage your time effectively, handle multiple tasks, and have experience managing large airline crew movements.
  • You have experience with Opera, Microsoft Word, and Outlook. You will hold a Senior First Aid Certificate, QLD RSA, and an open manual driver's license.
  • You are available to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, overnight, and public holidays, as per our business needs.
