Your role at Tumi:

As part of our Retail team, the Assistant Manager is responsible for creating a client experience that reflects our brand ethos while building strong client relationships and driving sales through outstanding service.

The ideal candidate is committed to client service, with a strong understanding of, or passion for, the luxury, travel, fashion, and lifestyle markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance to Goals:
  • Meet and exceed individual and store goals for personal sales and KPI metrics, including conversion, DPT, UPT, and Client Data Capture.
Leadership and Initiative:
  • Display initiative, plan and prioritize effectively, think strategically, and champion change.
  • Take pride in work and strive for excellence.
  • Take responsibility for performance, complete tasks, and meet deadlines.
People Development:
  • Assist in training and developing team members through roleplay and coaching.
  • Monitor and support store associate development, including quarterly goal setting.
  • Provide coaching and feedback, utilizing company tools to foster a 360-degree coaching culture.
  • Assist in recruiting and maintaining a strong talent bench.
Communication and Relationship Building:
  • Exercise strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Promote ethical conduct and adapt communication as needed.
  • Remain calm and de-escalate situations effectively.
  • Collaborate with the team effectively.
Compliance:
  • Assist with store scheduling, timecards, and payroll.
  • Maintain Tumi University Training and adhere to company policies.
Visual Merchandising/Client Experience:
  • Follow visual guidelines and directives.
  • Enhance client experience through client books, thank you cards, and event strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the TUMI brand and lifestyle.
