Job summary

Aramark is hiring full-time Assistant Managers to join Chatime on the Carleton University campus. You will support daily operations, lead the team, and ensure top-tier service while maintaining health and safety standards.

You will schedule staff, assist with HR activities, recruit and train personnel, and work with Marketing to implement promotions. The role requires a diploma in hospitality and flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality Management/ Food and Beverage Management or equivalent.
• Experience in a unionized setting is an asset.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to analyze financials.
• Flexible schedule; some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations with assistance from the Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Aramark and Franchise standards and health and safety policies.
• Schedule staff with Manager support.
• Support HR functions such as evaluations and progressive discipline.
• Recruit/train staff per Aramark requirements.
• Motivate supervisory staff to meet standards and drive performance.
• Deliver courteous service and resolve customer concerns.
• Collaborate with Marketing to launch promotions and manage costs.

We are hiring full-time Assistant Managers to join our team at Chatime on Carleton University campus. Reporting to the Manager of the location, our Assistant Managers are responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the unit, working with and providing leadership to the team on the ground, and ensuring a high level of customer service.

About the Job

• Responsible for overseeing the daily operations with assistance from the Manager
• Ensure compliance of all Aramark operating standards, Franchise standards, and legislated standards including company policy and procedure, Health and Safety standards, and Safe Food Handling
• Responsible for scheduling staff with assistance from the Manager
• Provides support to Manager with HR functions such as performance evaluations and progressive discipline
• Recruits and trains staff in compliance with Aramark and Franchise requirements
• Develops and motivates Supervisory staff to attain proper standards of performance
• Ensure quality, courteous service is provided to all customers, and resolves customer complaints
• Works with the Manager and Marketing Manager to launch marketing initiatives and promotions
• Responsible for inventory controls, food, labor and direct costs
• Collects, records, and deposits all revenues received at the component
• Maintains compliance of all cash handling and cash auditing procedures, reports and overage/shortages
• Ensures adherence to Aramark's policies and procedures
• Ensures adherence to Aramark's Health and Safety Programs
• Other duties as assigned

About You

• Diploma in Hospitality Management/ Food and Beverage Management or equivalent work experience
• Experience in a unionized setting an asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to analyze and interpret financials
• Flexible Schedule Required - may involve some evenings and weekends

The selected candidate for this position will need to complete and successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.

The hourly wage range for this role is $20.50 - $22.00
