Compensation: $17.20/hour

Position: Temporary (Canada Summer Jobs) - Toronto, ON

We are seeking a mission-driven Assistant, Human Resources, passionate about creating accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities where people with low vision can thrive without barriers or discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB
  • Provide general People & Culture administrative support, including filing, scanning, drafting, and editing correspondence.
  • Assist with benefits, payroll, training, and development administration.
  • Coordinate and monitor administrative functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Enter and record data in ADP Workforce Now; generate reports as needed.
  • Support projects and conduct research on People & Culture topics.
  • Update and maintain the employee self-service portal.
  • Assist staff with benefit inquiries.
Requirements
Who you are:
  • Post-secondary student or recent graduate in a related field (preferred).
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent administrative, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with database entry, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Experience related to blindness, sight loss, assistive technology, or accessible environments is an asset.
Eligibility
  • Must be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment.
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee status in Canada.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • International students are not eligible; recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
