Job summary

Chateau Nova Yellowknife is seeking a permanent, full-time Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead daily housekeeping operations and develop staff. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will coordinate schedules, supervise room attendants, and ensure hotel cleanliness and safety standards are met.

You will assist with recruitment, training and performance management while maintaining inventory and coordinating with other departments to meet occupancy needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school is required; a university degree or college diploma in hotel management or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of hotel housekeeping supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations and supervise staff.
• Plan, coordinate and assign work for supervisors and room attendants.
• Coordinate schedules based on occupancy and operational needs.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness and standards.
• Recruit, train and evaluate housekeeping employees.
• Monitor inventory of linens and supplies; manage purchasing as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure rooms are available per operations.
• Respond to guest concerns and provide service recovery.
