Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program and active registration required.
• Minimum five years of recent Charge/AHN nursing in Labour and Delivery.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Level C required.

Job description

At least five years (5) recent, Charge/AHN nursing experience in Labour and Delivery required. Provides clinical leadership and functional supervision and is committed to safe, effective and ethical patient care and work practices. Ability to work in a fast paced, highly stressful environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Ability to participate as an effective member of the interdisciplinary team as well provide leadership to the team. Good organizational skills as well as problem solving and conflict resolution. Current Neonatal Resuscitation and Fetal Health Surveillance certifications required.

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required.Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurse of Alberta (CRPNA) is required.Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal, stress management and conflict management skills. Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent assessment, organizational and documentation skills.
