A leading company in the railway industry is seeking an Assistant Flagging Supervisor responsible for coordinating schedules and providing support in all flagging activities. This position offers a mix of office and outdoor work, requiring the ability to manage tight deadlines and pressure. Candidates should have a background in railway operations and supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
The Assistant Flagging Supervisor is responsible for managing the weekly schedule for the flagging group and coordinating schedules and duties between internal and external parties. The position provides daily support to the Flagging Supervisor by assisting in all flagging protection activities over the assigned territory, in accordance with sound engineering practices, railway standards, procedures and rules

The role is performed in a combination of office and outdoor environments with various weather conditions with shift work. The role is required to be on-call 24 / 7 to respond to critical incidents. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent is required to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress. The role requires regular travel (50%) within the territory.

oMinimum 2 years of flagging experience
oExperience supervising a unionized workforce
oLabor Relations (LR) experience (, interpretation of collective agreements, response to grievances, negotiations with union representatives, discipline)
