Hours of Operation: 12:00pm - 9:00pm EST
Pay Range: $27.00 - $29.00 CAD hourly

POSITION SUMMARY:

SDFX Studios is looking for an Assistant Editor to join the Toronto Editorial team. The candidate will report directly to the Director, Technical Operations.

MAIN DUTIES:

As an Assistant Editor, you will work with the studio cutting room to build accurate 2D conforms for stereo timelines. Responsibilities include:

  • Disseminate important information by generating guides for internal use (company Wiki) and external use (Studio assistant editors)
  • Perform online work such as opticals, restoration, native stereo photography fixes
  • Put together demonstration reels for internal and external purposes on occasion
WHAT YOU BRING:

The ideal candidate will have entry-level knowledge in editing applications (Resolve, Premiere Pro, AVID), experience working in a Windows (PC) environment, and knowledge of stereo terminology (training provided if needed). Additional desired skills include:

  • Understanding of List Management (EDLs)
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Team player
  • High-speed internet for employment
