Job summary

Groupe Dynamite Inc. in Montréal is seeking an Assistant Fashion Designer to support sketches and technical packages, and to build outfits in CLO 3D for presentation to the Merchandising and Sourcing teams.

Reporting to the Head Designer, you will attend live model fittings, enter fabric specs, and create precise technical drawings and illustrations. A post-secondary fashion degree and 0–2 years of experience, plus strong Illustrator/Photoshop skills, are required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma, DEC or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in technical sketches.
• Strong retail background and trend awareness.
• Knowledge of garment construction and fittings.
• Solid computer skills (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Knowledge of 3D software (CLO or equivalent) is an asset.
• French or English is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create precise technical drawings.

• Build detailed technical packs using the designer's initial flat sketch and trim sheet.
• Create detailed technical illustrations and specs.
• Execute 3D prototypes to accurately represent product details, including colour, texture, outfitting, etc.

Job Summary:
