Groupe Dynamite Inc. in Montréal is seeking a Junior Designer to support design development for lifestyle and Brand, staying on top of trends to expand style options.

You will contribute to the transformation from a traditional retailer to an omni-channel leader, learning 3D design and collaborating across teams to deliver on trend-led collections. Fluent in French and English, willingness to travel if required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level design training or formal education in fashion design.
• 3+ years of design experience in fashion/apparel.
• Bilingual: French and English (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of fashion trends and garment industry.

Responsibilities

• Create styles for specific COE/collections to expand lifestyle options.
• Contribute to trend ideas and product novelty.
• Develop best-in-class 3D samples to support lifestyle lines.
• Maintain development calendar and secure approvals for each collection.
• Update development linesheet and calendar.
• Train in 3D design techniques.
• Contribute to style ideas for goods while learning C-41 deliverables.

Job Summary:

The Design team is looking for a Junior Designer to be responsible for supporting design development for your lifestyle and Brand and always staying abreast of trends and product novelty to increase style options.

You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer, to an omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor.

Responsibilities:

• Create styles for specific COE/ collections increasing options to the vision/brief for lifestyle;
• Participate in trend ideas and product novelty;
• Participate in developing best in class samples(3D) to support lifestyle;
• Keep on top of development calendar and approvals, support each collection;
• Update development linesheet;
• Train in 3D design;
• Participate in style ideas for specific commodity while learning C-41 and deliverables.

Qualifications:

• DEC in Fashion Design or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design;
• A minimum of three (3) years of design experience;
• Detailed oriented, self-motivated;
• Good Microsoft office skills;
• Excellent knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop;
• Sound judgement and a good understanding of trends and the garment industry;
• Available to travel (if necessary);
• Bilingual: French & English (written and spoken).
