Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Fort St. James, BC is hiring an Assistant Department Manager, Produce to lead a team and ensure customer-first service. The role requires open availability and a 40-hour work week, with pay range for this position noted below.

You will coach staff, manage performance, and implement training to grow the business. Strong work ethic, integrity, and enthusiasm are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Customer service and retail experience preferred.
• Food Safe Certification is required or asset.
• Ability to motivate a team and deliver customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading a team, coaching and mentoring.

• Engage and retain team members through training and development.

We are hiring for an Assistant Department Manager, Produce at our location in Fort St. James, BC.

The successful candidate must have open availability and be available for 40 hours per week.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
• Fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training and development, performance management, rewards/recognition and the identification and development of future leaders.
• Communicating important messages with the team.
• Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
• Taking count of the correct amount of stock.

You have:

• Previous retail or customer service experience (considered an asset).
• Food Safe Certification.
• A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.

Compensation Details:

$19.25 - $22.60 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
