Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Maple Ridge, BC is hiring an Assistant Department Manager, Produce to lead a team, coach staff, and drive a customer-first culture. You will develop talent, communicate key messages, and ensure accurate stock counts while growing the business.

Preferred candidates have retail or customer service experience, a Food Safe Certification, and a passion for great food and service, plus a strong work ethic, integrity, and a willingness to go the extra mile.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset.

We are hiring for an Assistant Department Manager, Produce at our Dewdney Save-On-Foods location in Maple Ridge, BC.

The successful candidate must have open availability and be available for 40 hours per week.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
• Fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training and development, performance management, rewards/recognition and the identification and development of future leaders.
• Communicating important messages with the team.
• Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
• Taking count of the correct amount of stock.

You have:

• Previous retail or customer service experience (considered an asset).
• Food Safe Certification.
• A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.

Compensation Details:

$19.25 - $22.60 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
