Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Trois-Rivières is seeking an attentive Assistant Department Manager to lead daily operations in-store. You will drive customer service excellence, coordinate with teams, and help manage inventory and pricing to keep shelves ready and aligned with store standards.

Ideal candidates have 2 years in retail or customer service, a high school diploma, and a desire to grow with the company through on-the-job training and advancement opportunities in a collaborative

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day department operations in collaboration with the department manager.
• Provide feedback to team members to support professional growth and meet targets.
• Coordinate with production and customer service clerks to ensure excellent service.
• Manage inventories, pricing lists, and marketing efforts to maintain readiness and productivity.

What might a typical day look like?

As an assistant department manager, you will have to :

• perform day-to-day management activities within your department in collaboration with the department manager;
• provide team members with the feedback necessary for their professional development and the achievement of established objectives;
• collaborate with the production and customer service clerks; - Ensure the implementation of exceptional customer service
• in collaboration with the manager, ensure the management of inventories, price lists, marketing and salary productivity according to established standards in order to ensure business readiness;
