Independent Grocers Alliance in Canada seeks an Assistant Department Manager to lead store operations within the department and support a high level of customer service.

You will work in a day shift, 35–40 hours per week, and participate in training opportunities that support skill development and career advancement.

Formación

• 2 years experience in retail or customer service.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Strong communication and leadership potential.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day activities within the department in collaboration with the department manager.
• Provide team members with feedback for development and to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with production and customer service clerks; ensure exceptional customer service.
• Assist in inventories, price lists, marketing, and salary productivity to keep business ready.

What might a typical day look like?

As an assistant department manager, you will have to :

• perform day-to-day management activities within your department in collaboration with the department manager;
• provide team members with the feedback necessary for their professional development and the achievement of established objectives;
• collaborate with the production and customer service clerks; - Ensure the implementation of exceptional customer service
• in collaboration with the manager, ensure the management of inventories, price lists, marketing and salary productivity according to established standards in order to ensure business readiness;
