Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Repentigny is seeking an assistant department manager to lead day-to-day operations and ensure excellent store performance. You will work with the department manager to coach staff and optimize customer service.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of retail or customer service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a proactive, team-focused mindset. We offer training and opportunities for advancement within the store.

What might a typical day look like?

As an assistant department manager, you will have to :

• perform day-to-day management activities within your department in collaboration with the department manager;
• provide team members with the feedback necessary for their professional development and the achievement of established objectives;
• collaborate with the production and customer service clerks; - Ensure the implementation of exceptional customer service
• in collaboration with the manager, ensure the management of inventories, price lists, marketing and salary productivity according to established standards in order to ensure business readiness;
