Gibson Energy Inc. in Alberta is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead consolidation, external financial reporting and corporate accounting activities. You will own the close calendar, review statements and disclosures, and partner with senior Finance leadership on significant transactions and controls.

This is a visible leadership role with enterprise-wide impact. The role requires CPA designation with a university degree, 10+ years of experience, and strong IFRS and systems knowledge.

Formación

• CPA designation and a university degree in accounting/finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience post-qualification, preferably in energy services.
• Ability to independently evaluate contracts and IFRS matters, with sound judgment.
• Ownership of close and reporting cycles, coordinating contributors and audit deliverables.

Responsabilidades

• Act on behalf of Corporate Controller for delegated accounting, close and reporting.
• Own quarterly and annual close and consolidated financial reporting processes.
• Review financial statements, notes, cash flow and intercompany eliminations.
• Lead corporate accounting entries, equity, debt, and stock-based compensation disclosures.
• Coordinate tax provisions and filings and review statutory financial statements.
• Lead external disclosure and interactions with auditors; manage responses to significant comments.
