Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. is seeking a Financial Controller to join our Finance team in Canada. You will oversee consolidation for multiple entities, manage month-end close, and ensure GAAP/ASPE compliant reporting.

The role requires leadership of the accounting team, strong internal controls, and collaboration with auditors and senior management on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or equivalent designation preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with controllership or senior accounting background.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and consolidation accounting.
• Experience reviewing financial statements and ensuring GAAP/ASPE compliance and internal policies.
• Experience managing intercompany transactions, consolidations, multi-entity reporting, and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities.
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review and quality-control financial statements, supporting schedules, and analyses.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide documentation.
• Lead and develop the accounting team with coaching and training.
• Establish and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances and trends.
• Support senior management with budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc projects.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines with high standards of reporting.
