Job Description:

This is a job opportunity for an Assistant Controller / Contrôleur adjoint at Boscus Canada Inc, located in Kirkland, QC, Canada. The position requires a Bachelor Degree and offers a salary of USD $80,000 annually.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and recording bi-weekly payroll, including year-end reporting.
• Supervising the accounts payable and receivable team, supporting internal controls, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Managing the full cycle of accounting for multiple companies, liaising with auditors and tax consultants, and providing transaction histories.
• Reviewing and approving expense reports, including sales tax calculations, and supporting new expense management tools.
• Preparing and filing monthly GST/QST, corporate tax, US sales tax, and property tax returns.
• Overseeing bank reporting compliance.
• Assisting in preparing month-end and year-end financial statements, including payroll elements.
• Acting as a liaison between finance, accounting, management, sales, and logistics departments.

Qualifications and Skills:

• CPA designation, bilingual in English and French.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with PowerBI and ERP systems is an asset.
