Your team's dynamic:

As an Assistant Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing accounting operations, ensuring financial integrity, and mentoring a dedicated finance team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the daily operations, leadership development, and financial success of an established accounting team.

What your day will look like:

1. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly closes.
2. Build, engage, and lead the team of accountants.
3. Coordinate, evaluate, and continuously improve the team while fostering a positive work environment.
4. Support the evaluation and implementation of new company initiatives.
5. Assist management with activities related to special projects and ad-hoc requests.
6. Engage actively in process improvement and efficiency initiatives.
7. Develop strong business relationships and understand interdepartmental dependencies.
8. Establish and maintain company policies and procedures related to finance and accounting.
9. Assess and analyze the implications of new accounting guidelines and standards.
10. Determine the accounting treatment and financial implications of complex transactions.
11. Prepare reports for management.

• CPA designation, with a solid foundation in accounting and finance.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in financial accounting software, with Microsoft Dynamics being a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive under pressure, managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
