Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking an Assistant Security Manager in Calgary, Alberta. You will lead a team of guards, ensure security operations run smoothly, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants and clients.

This role requires coordinating day-to-day operations and covering shifts as needed. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of security management experience, holds an Alberta Security License, and possesses strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Must hold Alberta Security License.
• 1–3 years of security management experience.
• Must be able to work Monday–Friday 0600–1400.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Canadian Criminal Code and property acts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review all submitted team incident reports for quality assurance.
• Liaise with client, contractors, tenants, and emergency services.
• Review and export CCTV footage using digital CCTV systems.
• Provide first aid and basic life safety in emergencies.
• Ensure coverage of guard shifts as needed.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the assistant security manager.

Responsibilities for an Assistant Security Manager

• Review all submitted team incident reports for quality assurance
• Liaise with client, contractors, tenants, emergency services
• Review and export of CCTV footage using digital CCTV systems
• Providing excellent customer service to various tenants
• Provide first aid and basic life safety in an emergency situation
• Must be able to cover a guards shifts on an as needed basis
• Coordinate day to day operations as the assistant security manager
• Responsible for ensuring that security licenses are up to date for bullpen staff
• Maintaining Training matrix and performing other responsiblities as per assigned client

Qualifications for an Assistant Security Manager

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Must hold Valid Alberta Security License
• 1 - 3 years of security manamgent experience
• Must be able to work Monday - Friday 0600 - 1400
• Exceptional interpersonal skills both oral and written
• Demonstrated the ability to follow operational secuirty measures, protect confidential information and excercise good judgment and discretion.
• Demonstrated comprehension of the Canadian Criminal Code and Tresspass to Property Act
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must have strong customer service skills, mature attitude and professionalism
• Leadership and mentorship skills
• Able to work in a team environment or independently as required
