Job summary

BrightPath Kids is seeking an Assistant Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children in a Centre setting at our Mahogany location, AB. You will follow a weekly menu, manage bulk food orders, and ensure sanitation per Public Health standards.

Qualifications

• Food handling certification required.
• Province-specific childcare employment requirements must be met.
• Current Standard First Aid and Infant CPR required.
• Strong time management skills essential.
• Experience cooking for large groups is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch and snacks for children.
• Organize weekly and daily bulk food orders.
• Prepare meals from a set weekly menu.
• Ensure kitchen safety and sanitation per Public Health standards.
• Account for dietary restrictions for individual children.
• Wash dishes after meals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As a AssistantCook, you will prepare nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Organizing orders for bulk food weekly and daily shopping as needed.
• Preparing meals from a set menu with recipes provided weekly.
• Ensuring safety and sanitization in the kitchen environment as per Public Health requirements.
• Understanding dietary restrictions in centre for individual children.
• Washing dishes after meals.
• Other duties as assigned.
