Job summary

Dexterra Group is a leading North American provider of managed services in built environments, offering stable opportunities in a remote region. The role focuses on event planning, staff management, operations, budgeting, and quality control across catering services.

Ideal candidates have food & beverage experience, QuickBooks skills, and strong customer service. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift equipment are required, with some weekend work possible.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience or strong familiarity with the food & beverage or catering industry.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift and transport catering equipment and supplies.
  • Food Safe and Serving It Right (SIR) certifications (required).
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends when events require.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to define event requirements, create menus, and provide cost estimates.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise catering and kitchen staff.
  • Oversee all aspects of the event, including food preparation, service, and logistics like transportation of food and equipment.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, monitor inventory, and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Ensure food and service quality meet high standards and comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain contact with clients before, during, and after events to ensure satisfaction and handle any complaints.

  • Event planning:
