What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Management team located in Downtown Ottawa is looking for an Assistant Branch Operations Manager to join their team! The Assistant Branch Operations Manager plays a leadership role by providing operational and administrative support to the Branch Management Team and Advisor teams. Responsibilities include managing client account activities, ensuring compliance, liaising with internal departments, providing software and process training, and managing branch facilities and equipment.

What will you do?

  • Manage daily administrative operations, including approval of transactions, verifying and acting on support staff requests, and approving account openings.
  • Assist with training new support staff and coordinate ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control requirements.
  • Handle branch technology access, setup, and troubleshooting.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A professional approach to create a positive working environment.
  • Ability to work independently, seeking out answers and solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH).
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures.
  • Experience in the securities industry.
