Job description

What is the opportunity? The RBC Dominion Securities Management team located in Oshawa is looking for an Assistant Branch Operations Manager to join their team! The Assistant Branch Operations Manager fulfills a leadership role in the branch by providing operational and administrative support to the Branch Management Team and Advisor teams. In addition to managing client account activities and ensuring compliance standards are met, the Assistant Branch Operations Manager fulfills a diverse role which includes liaising with internal departments, providing software and process-related training, and managing the branch facilities and equipment.

What will you do?
  1. Manage the daily administrative operations of the branch including approval of transactions, verifying and acting on requests from support staff, and approving account openings.
  2. Assist with training new support staff and coordinate ongoing training initiatives.
  3. Ensure compliance with internal controls and industry regulations.
  4. Manage branch technology access, setup, and troubleshooting.
  5. Respond to client inquiries efficiently regarding transactions, requests, and documentation.
  6. Provide proactive client service and liaise with various departments for solutions.
  7. Manage communications from clients, Advisors, and partners.
  8. Assist in onboarding new clients with the Advisor team.
  9. Maintain accurate and compliant client files and documentation.
  10. Support Wealth Management processes and maintain an audit of activities and priorities.

  • A professional approach to all situations to foster a positive environment.
  • Ability to work independently and seek out solutions.
Nice-to-have
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures is an asset.
  • Experience in the securities industry is an asset.
