Job summary

Real Canadian Superstore in Langford, BC is seeking an Asset Protection Representative to deter theft, investigate incidents, and partner with management to minimize loss. This role helps maintain store integrity and supports the broader Loblaw Asset Protection team.

The role requires a valid Provincial Security Guard License, knowledge of Canadian law, and experience with CCTV. Availability for varied shifts and a strong sense of integrity are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Provincial Security Guard License required.
• Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act knowledge.
• Powers of Arrest and CCTV/surveillance systems knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Windows-based applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Professional, friendly and approachable demeanor.
• High degree of initiative and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Deter, detect and apprehend theft and fraud in our retail locations.
• Collaborate with APRs to investigate ORC cases when they arise.
• Work with local police service as needed.
• Investigate internal incidents; compile and present evidence for court/arbitration.
• Identify shrink opportunities within operations and report findings.
• Coach store colleagues on Asset Protection policies and procedures.
