Job summary

City of Kawartha Lakes is seeking an Asset Management Coordinator in Lindsay, ON. The role focuses on administering asset registries, developing capital forecasts, and coordinating asset information across divisions and external partners.

The position requires a university degree with municipal asset management knowledge, IAM designation or willingness to obtain, and strong analytical and communication skills. A hybrid work arrangement and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Civil Engineering or related field.
• IAM designation or willingness to obtain.
• Proficiency with CityWide Asset Manager and Capital Planning Analysis modules is an asset.
• Experience with asset management concepts and municipal infrastructure legislation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer the municipal asset registry and related data.
• Use asset management software to manage registries, develop capital forecasts, and reconcile costs.
• Coordinate information flows between division and internal/external partners.
• Lead asset surveys and condition assessments for designated assets.
• Prepare capital budgets and long-term financial plans, reports, and policy documents.
• Oversee asset management plans and related studies and manage consulting partners.
• Support divisions with asset stewardship and master plans.
• Stay informed on grants and partnerships and coordinate with funding partners.
