We are seeking a highly accomplished Project Management Specialist for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will take on a premier project leadership, technical delivery, and governance capacity, specializing in managing complex, enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, network modernization, and physical security initiatives.

As a Project Management Specialist, you will bridge the gap between executive leadership, cross-functional technical teams, vendor partners, and multi-departmental business stakeholders. Operating within a hybrid work model in Toronto, you will direct end-to-end project lifecycles—managing detailed project charters, multi-site network rollouts, vendor procurements, budget controls, and organizational change management. This position demands a PMP-certified project authority with deep technical knowledge of WAN/LAN deployments, enterprise network security, and infrastructure topology who can navigate competing priorities, maintain schedule critical paths, and deliver scalable technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage enterprise IT projects through all phases of the project lifecycle in accordance with PMI standards and organizational methodologies.
• Develop, track, and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, critical path milestones, and project charters using MS Project and modern tracking tools.
• Oversee project financial management, budget preparation, procurement activities, SOW drafting, contract negotiations, and payment authorizations.
• Coordinate multi-site network implementations, WAN/LAN deployments, site engineering surveys, and field technician schedules.
• Manage vendor and contractor performance, ensuring adherence to contract terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and quality control standards.
• Facilitate formal procurement workflows, overseeing the preparation of RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, MOUs, and Statements of Work.
• Evaluate, mitigate, and report on project risks, issues, scope dependencies, and change requests to maintain project alignment.
• Apply organizational change management principles to ensure smooth transition of new technology solutions to operational teams and end-users.
• Lead, recruit, and supervise assigned project staff, fostering collaboration across technical and business resources.
• Contribute to the design, sustainment, and continuous improvement of corporate project management standards, methodologies, and technical design practices.
• Prepare clear status reports, executive briefing materials, and presentations to communicate progress, risk profiles, and financial metrics to senior management.

Qualifications

Core Technical & Project Leadership Requirements

• Professional Certification: Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in good standing.

Enterprise IT Project Tenure

• Proven experience managing end-to-end enterprise IT projects within complex, multi-departmental environments (including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change management).

Infrastructure & Network Experience

• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale network infrastructure projects involving WAN/LAN deployments, MPLS circuits, SD-WAN, and multi-location VPN configurations.

Vendor & Team Management

• Experience directing multi-disciplinary teams (network engineers, architects, field technicians) and managing vendor contract performance.

Procurement & Contract Documentation

• Proven track record preparing contractual documentation, including RFIs, RFPs, SOWs, and SLAs.

Education

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Preferred Knowledge & Technical Capabilities

Network Security & Topology

• Understanding of firewalls (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet), Zero-Trust segmentation, VPNs (IPsec, SSL), and high-availability/failover routing.

Physical Security Systems

• Working knowledge of physical security infrastructure, including video surveillance, electronic access control, and emergency intercom systems, along with their network dependencies.

PM Tooling Proficiency

• High proficiency in MS Project and related project management software for complex scheduling and resource allocation.
