Job summary

DataDrill Communications Inc. is seeking an Assembler/Shop Hand in manufacturing, based in Calgary, AB. The role focuses on maintaining quality of remote communications equipment while contributing to new and existing product development.

The ideal candidate will work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment, performing assembly and service tasks with attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards. Training will be provided; overtime and field assignments may be required.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented environment experience
• Electronics troubleshooting, wiring, soldering experience considered an asset
• Mechanical intuition and understanding of how things work
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to technical detail
• Clean driving record
• Forklift certification is an asset

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain warehouse/shop cleanliness
• Conduct parts inventory counts
• Assemble and service DataDrill’s field equipment following quality guidelines
• Test and clean equipment returns
• Maintain safe, organized work environment
• Perform basic building and yard maintenance as needed
• Be open to field assignments and overtime when required

Job Description:

The primary role is to maintain the quality of DataDrill’s remote communications equipment while continuing to help develop and improve new and existing products.

Responsibilities:

• Organizing and maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse/shop
• Conducting parts inventory counts
• Assembling and servicing DataDrill’s specialized field equipment, while adhering to strict guidelines for quality assurance
• Ensuring the testing and cleaning of equipment returns
• Upholding our commitment to a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Performing basic building and yard maintenance as needed
• Being open to field assignments and overtime work when necessary
