Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. is seeking an Assembler to join its team in Canada. The role involves documentation, assembly, electrical and machine testing, and inspection.

The assembler will work on various operation phases as needed and may assist the Team Leader with training new employees. Responsibilities include cleaning parts, mounting with epoxy and solder, assembling sub-assemblies, fibre optic attachment, and data entry in the SAP system.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma.
• Have experience in a manufacturing environment.
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Have good organizational skills.
• Experience with computer data entry (an asset);
• Good manual dexterity and visual acuity;
• Bilingualism (French and English) an asset.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and preparation of parts by simple chemical cleaning procedures.
• Mounting of product with epoxy and solder.
• Mounting of other components, e.g. hybrid sub-assemblies, with epoxy and solder.
• Hand marking of devices.
• Test components and assemblies once finished.
• Sub-assembly fabrication to be used on final product.
• Fibre optic attachment.
• The assembler may need to use the SAP system to make certain transactions.
• The assembler may assist the Team Leader in the training of new employees.
• Performing other related duties as required.
