Job summary

Excelitas Technologies is looking for an Assembler in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. The role includes responsibilities such as cleaning, assembly, and testing of components and sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma, experience in manufacturing, and good organizational skills.

Bilingualism in French and English is a plus. This is a regular full-time position with compliance to OLF requirements and a commitment to equal opportunity.

Assembler – The assembler position focuses on documentation, assembly, electrical test, machine test, and inspection. Each assembler may be required to work on any single phase of operations at a given time.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and preparation of parts by simple chemical cleaning procedures;
• Mounting of product with epoxy and solder;
• Mounting of other components, e.g. hybrid sub-assemblies, with epoxy and solder;
• Hand marking of devices;
• Test components and assemblies once finished;
• Sub-assembly fabrication to be used on final product;
• Fibre optic attachment;
• Use the SAP system to make certain transactions;
• Assisting the Team Leader in training new employees;
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma;
• Have experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
• Good organizational skills;
• Experience with computer data entry (an asset);
• Good manual dexterity and visual acuity;
• Bilingualism (French and English) an asset.
