Job summary

Sterling Industries in Woodbridge, ON is seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to join our production team on the afternoon shift (4 pm – 1 am). This full-time role focuses on assembling products to exact specifications, supporting production goals, and contributing to quality and reliability for our medical device and sub-component clients.

You will study instructions, prepare parts, maintain equipment, keep a clean, safe workspace, and document actions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.
  • Experience in manufacturing and quality systems.
  • Previous production assembly experience.
  • Technical analysis and problem solving ability.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Strong team-player mindset.
  • Experience brazing and soldering beneficial (but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure assembly meets spec and timing per planning group.
  • Study instructions and blueprints; gather parts and tools.
  • Keep equipment operational through preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
  • Conserve resources by efficient use of equipment and supplies.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assembler to join our production team. In this role, you will help assemble products to specification, support production goals, and contribute to the quality and reliability our customers depend on. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, works well in a team environment, and takes pride in accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure optimal use of work time to assemble products to specification, on time, and to the quantities determined by the planning group.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
