Job summary

Excelitas Technologies in Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC, is seeking an Assembler to support documentation, assembly, electrical and machine tests, and inspection on any phase of operations.

You will clean and prepare parts, mount components with epoxy and solder, perform tests, assist with training, and maintain safe, organized work. A High School Diploma and manufacturing experience are required; bilingual French/English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare parts by basic cleaning procedures
• Mount product with epoxy and solder
• Assemble components and sub-assemblies
• Hand mark devices and perform testing
• Fabricate sub-assemblies for final products
• Attach fibre optic components as required
• Possibly use SAP for transactions
• Assist Team Leader with training of new employees
• Perform other related duties as required

The Assembler position consists of documentation, assembly, electrical test, machine test and inspection. Each assembler may be required to work on any single phase of operations at a given time.

Your responsibilities:

• Cleaning and preparation of parts by simple chemical cleaning procedures;
• Mounting of product with epoxy and solder;
• Mounting of other components, e.g. hybrid sub-assemblies, with epoxy and solder;
• Hand marking of devices;
• Test components and assemblies once finished;
• Sub-assembly fabrication to be used on final product;
• Fibre optic attachment;
• The assembler may need to use the SAP system to make certain transactions;
• The assembler may assist the Team Leader in the training of new employees;
• Performing other related duties as required.
• Possess a High School Diploma;
• Have experience in a manufacturing environment;
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
• Have good organizational skills;
• Experience with computer data entry (an asset);
• Good manual dexterity and visual acuity;
• Bilingualism (French and English) an asset;
