Job summary

School District 57 is seeking upcoming Canadian university graduates with a Bachelor of Education or teaching certification to fill contract and casual on-call teaching openings. Applicants should have practicum completed or near completion and be eligible for TRB membership.

Preference given to experience in assessment for learning and inclusive education. Relocation and benefits are per the collective agreement; candidates must be able to travel within BC as required and join a team dedicated

Qualifications

Must have or be eligible for BC Teaching Certificate.
Submit letter from TRB if eligible for permanent status.
Knowledge of redesigned curriculum and core competencies.
Evidence of appropriate teaching qualifications and experience.
Proven ability with assessment for learning strategies.
Experience integrating Indigenous culture and Truth and Reconciliation principles.
Ability to use varied teaching strategies to meet all learners’ needs.
Experience with experiential and inquiry-based learning.
Experience teaching and supporting social-emotional learning.
Strong classroom management and organization; teamwork and collaboration.
Commitment to technology integration and positive relationships with school community.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
