Job summary

Our District is seeking enthusiastic individuals to work as casual Uncertified Teachers Teaching on Call in Mackenzie, BC. Applicants should have post-secondary education and recent experience with children or teens in coaching or mentoring roles.

Position requires travel within the geographic area and a valid driver's license. Relocation support is available, and salary follows the collective agreement grid with steps based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Ministry of Education’s redesigned curriculum and core competencies.
• Experience working with children or teens in coaching, mentoring or related roles.
• Understanding of inclusionary practices and assessment strategies.
• Knowledge of First Nations principles and Truth and Reconciliation.
• Ability to support social-emotional regulation and positive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call support as uncertified teacher in Mackenzie, B.C.
• Collaborate with school staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Utilize technology in teaching and classroom management.
• Establish relationships with students, families, and the community.
• Travel to assigned schools within the geography as needed.
