Job summary

School District No. 57 is seeking casual Uncertified Teachers Teaching on Call to work in McBride and Valemount, BC. The position requires a minimum of three years of post-secondary education and experience with children or teens.

Applicants must be prepared for on-call work in rural school settings and have reliable transportation. Preference given to candidates with assessment and trauma-informed practice experience, and a willingness to integrate technology to support learning.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Ministry of Education curricula and core competencies.
• Experience working with children.
• Understanding of inclusionary and differentiation practices.
• Knowledge of First Nations Principles and Truth and Reconciliation.
• Ability to support social emotional regulation in children.
• Ability to create positive learning environments and manage groups.
• Team collaboration experience.
• Ability to integrate technology in the work environment.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Work as casual on-call Uncertified Teacher in McBride, BC & Valemount, BC.
• Provide instructional support across school settings in rural communities.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student learning and well‑being.
• Travel within geographic area as required and per driving eligibility.
