Duties and Responsibilities

The ASIC/FPGA Designer will work in an exciting team environment and will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Understanding high-level requirements and translating them into detailed design specification documents.
  2. Writing RTL (mainly Verilog or System Verilog), running block-level simulation, FPGA backend or ASIC synthesis, DFT insertion, and timing closure.
  3. Performing lab bring-up, product integration, and support.
  4. Interfacing with the verification team, hardware team, and support team.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the ASIC/FPGA design field.
  2. Strong RTL coding skills.
  3. Strong scripting skills.
  4. Familiarity with SONET, OTN, Ethernet, PCIe.
  5. Excellent ability to work in a team.
  6. Experience with System Verilog would be an asset.
  7. Experience with SoC design would be an asset.
  8. A software background would be an asset.
