Job summary

Northern Lights College is seeking a Chair to provide educational leadership across Arts and Sciences and related programs on all campuses. The role focuses on curriculum development, planning, assessment, regulatory oversight, student advising, and ensuring high standards in teaching and scholarship.

The Chair will coordinate department members, foster teamwork, and ensure policy adherence while collaborating with the NLC Chair team for year-round department coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be a current regular employee of Northern Lights College
• Completion of a relevant graduate degree (Master's or PhD)
• Minimum of five years of instructional experience at the post-secondary level
• Demonstrable commitment to educational leadership
• Proven excellence in written and verbal communication
• Strong team-building and consultative leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Provide educational leadership within Arts and Sciences and related programs for all campuses
• Lead curriculum planning, assessment, regulatory oversight, student advising and adherence to college policy
• Coordinate and support the talents of department members and foster effective teamwork
• Lead the department in matters of curriculum, planning and program quality
• Collaborate with the NLC Chair team to ensure year-round department coverage
