Job summary

Northern Lights College in Fort St. John invites applications for a Chair of Health Sciences for a two-year term with a 75% teaching release.

Under the Dean of Health Sciences and Human Services, the Chair will provide leadership for curriculum, planning, assessment, regulatory oversight, and student advising while maintaining program quality and fostering an effective team. This position requires a consistent presence on campus and reports to the Dean.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years instructional experience at the post-secondary level.
• Demonstrable commitment to educational leadership and governance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational leadership within Health Sciences programs and guide curriculum planning, assessment, and regulatory oversight.
• Lead and develop the department, coordinating staff and supporting student advising and success.
• Ensure department quality and foster teamwork, collaboration, and effective service within the college.
