Job summary

Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality is seeking a talented baker for O&B Artisan. Our bakers blend science and artistry, adapting recipes to the tastes of our fine dining restaurants and keeping ingredients fresh.

You will follow production schedules, measure ingredients, bake, monitor ovens, and help develop new recipes. This is a full-time day shift in Canada, with wages of CAD 20–25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a bakery or restaurant environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs.
• Knowledge of baking equipment and techniques.
• WHMIS precautionary measures awareness.
• Patient, detail-oriented, creative and organized.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full-time, day shift; legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Check production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake.
• Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter, following recipes.
• Place dough in pans, moulds, or on sheets and bake in oven; monitor and adjust as needed.
• Use kitchen tools including electric mixers, pans, rolling pins, and cutting tools.
• Monitor baking process and identify needed adjustments.
• Handle and move ingredients, tools and pans safely.
• Control mixing processes and oven controls; implement recipes or create new ones.
• May develop new recipes and assist with other duties as assigned.
