As a Digital Art Director, you will be responsible for the conceptual development and execution of creative deliverables, including creating and communicating concepts, implementing marketing strategies, and developing interactive design solutions. You will balance creative thinking with interpersonal skills, championing creative concepts to clients and project teams. You will work under mentorship from a Creative Director and lead a team of designers, copywriters, information architects, content analysts, audio designers, and production specialists to excellence. A passion for design and visual communication is essential.

You Will
  • Develop concepts and communicate ideas effectively.
  • Balance strategic development with client business objectives.
  • Direct and delegate tasks across core creative disciplines.
  • Contribute directly to project design, including creating storyboards, initial graphic concepts, functional design solutions, site grids, interface demos, and QA of deliverables.
  • Mentor and coach team members through project development and performance management.
  • Build relationships with clients, partner agencies, photographers, model agencies, and vendors.
  • Contribute to the innovative development of the creative department.
  • Lead and collaborate with designers, production artists, writers, content analysts, planners, and Information Architects.
  • Participate in strategic brainstorming, concept development, and creative execution.
You Have
  • A strong digital design portfolio.
  • Experience leading a team of designers, production specialists, and writers.
  • Experience presenting work to clients.
  • Experience in strategic brainstorming, campaign development, and creative brief development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Quick creative thinking with attention to detail under deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Mac OS, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Understanding of After Effects, QuickTime, and Final Cut Pro.
  • Organizational skills and dedication to the creative team.
  • Collaborative spirit with other creatives.
  • Leadership skills to foster learning and excellence.
  • Illustration skills in electronic and traditional media.

Salary range is hourly: $69—$69 CAD. Salaries are reviewed during the interview based on experience, skills, and market factors. For current employees, tenure is also considered.
