Job description

As a Digital Art Director, the conceptual development and execution of creative deliverables is on your shoulders—including creating and communicating concepts, implementing marketing strategies, and developing interactive design solutions. Balancing creative thinking with interpersonal skills, you champion creative concepts to clients and project teams alike. There’s a line between creative expression and commercial reality—but you’ve got that covered. You want to keep learning, but you want leadership experience, too. Good news—you’ll have mentorship from a Creative Director to help you grow, and you’ll lead a team of designers, copywriters, information architects, content analysts, audio designers, and production specialists to excellence. Most importantly, you are driven by a passion for design and visual communication.

You will:

1. Develop concepts and communicate ideas.
2. Balance strategic development with client business objectives.
3. Direct and delegate to core creative services disciplines.
4. Contribute to project design and development including creating storyboards, initial graphic concepts, functional design solutions, site grids, interface demos, and QA of all creative deliverables.
5. Mentor and coach teams through project development and performance management.
6. Build relationships with clients, partner agencies, photographers, model agencies, and vendors.
7. Contribute to the innovative development of the creative department.
8. Lead and collaborate with designers, production artists, writers, content analysts, planners, and Information Architects.
9. Participate in strategic brainstorming, concept development, creative brief development, and execution.

You have:

1. Experience leading a team of designers, production specialists, and writers.
2. Experience meeting clients and presenting work.
3. Experience with strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative briefs, and execution.
4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Quick creative thinking with attention to detail under deadlines.
6. Knowledge of Mac OS, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
7. Understanding of After Effects, QuickTime, and Final Cut Pro.
8. Strong organizational skills and dedication to the creative team.
9. Collaborative mindset and leadership skills to foster learning and excellence.
10. Illustration skills in electronic and traditional media.

Please note the salary range below is hourly. We review ranges regularly based on skills, experience, and market conditions. Salaries are determined during interviews considering various factors, including experience and responsibilities. For current employees, tenure is also considered.
