Job summary

The Town of Gore Bay is seeking an Arena Assistant to join our team for the winter season in a part-time, seasonal role at the Gore Bay Memorial Arena. You will help maintain ice, assist with events, and provide friendly customer service to skaters and visitors.

Under the Public Works team and Arena Operations Supervisor, you will operate arena equipment such as the Zamboni, keep facilities clean and safe, and support community events while delivering welcoming service to the public.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate arena equipment such as Zamboni and skate sharpener.
• Fast learner and versatile team player.

Job Description

In your role as Arena Assistant, you will de dedicated to fostering a sense of community within the Gore Bay Memorial Arena by creating a space where families and individuals can come together to create everlasting memories. By working with the Public Works team, supported by the Arena Operations Supervisor, and by listening to the needs of our community, we can make the arena a vibrant and welcoming place for everyone.

The Arena Attendant supports the day-to-day operations of the arena during the winter season. Responsibilities include ice maintenance, operating equipment such as the Zamboni, ensuring a clean and safe facility, assisting with event setup, and providing customer service to patrons. The Attendant helps create an enjoyable and well-maintained space for skaters, hockey players, and community events.
