Job Summary

The Area Sales Representative (ASR) supports sales by being the primary contact for all jobbers & technicians, and a secondary contact for warehouse distributors and retailers within their area. The position requires being centrally located within an area spanning multiple cities or states, with travel outside the area as needed. Candidates must be located in Ontario, Canada.

Primary Duties

• Drive sales, profitability, and awareness of Dorman Products through distribution, supporting area business plan achievement.
• Increase brand and product awareness across all distribution levels to boost sales.
• Support trade shows, customer training, technician visits, changeover assistance, and more.
• Work with customers to optimize store inventories, communicate promotions, resolve complaints, and identify new product opportunities.
• Distribute marketing materials and promote new product announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Self-starter who thrives in a remote environment.
• Ability to travel 50% or more, including weekends.
• Physical ability to lift 20 pounds.
• Work involves reaching, swiveling, carrying items, speaking, and listening in a moderate noise environment.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, automotive technology, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
