The ideal candidate will be based in the Ottawa or North Toronto areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Regional Sales Manager and channel marketing team to develop and implement sales growth strategies to increase Masonite's market share within the assigned territory.
- Partner with retail customers to target and grow share of wallet with key contractors servicing remodel market segments. Use independent judgment and creativity to drive and secure new sales.
- Analyze POS data by territory and store to identify mix optimization opportunities that will drive unit and dollar growth. Ensure all store POGs and layouts are aligned with rate-of-sale to maximize POS opportunities.
- Lead in-store partnership activities to drive stock sales and sell-through on all products, including special buys, NLPs, new product rollouts, and high-velocity SKUs.
- Collaborate with the Pro Account Leader to target, develop, and secure regional deals with contractors and remodelers, employing independent judgment and creativity.
- Plan, promote, and execute selling events and commercial partnership events to increase store share.
- Quote and close large-volume jobs with remodelers and contractors to drive incremental sales at the store level.
- Grow sales within the Millwork Department, Installed Sales, and the PRO desk through presentations, sales efforts, and analytics, focusing on high-margin opportunities.
- Identify and convert professional remodelers outside the store environment to buy through the retail channel, increasing foot traffic and sales volume.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations to key store personnel to increase market share within the special order segment.
- Enhance profitability through mix improvements and upselling.
- Recommend products to stores and directly to consumers in-aisle to boost sales.
Customer Relationship Management
- Deliver sales presentations to key store personnel to grow Masonite's market share within the special order segment.
- Manage in-store relationships to increase sales and channel activity.
- Recommend products to stores and consumers in-aisle to increase sales volume.
- Address and resolve store and customer service issues promptly.
- Plan and execute sales and partnership events to grow store share.
- Develop and implement area sales strategies.
- Drive profitability through mix enhancements and upselling.
- Provide field-based intelligence on products, trends, and competitors to sales leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of six months to two years of experience in account development, management, or retail sales.
- Experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, engagement, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to develop and close sales directly or by driving sales through others.
- High moral and ethical standards.
- Motivated, results-oriented, with strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop deep knowledge of customers, competitors, and the market to enhance sales.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks independently.
- Proven training and coaching skills.
