This on-site Halifax role requires a leader who can oversee a large healthcare operation, strengthen client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and ensure strong operational, financial, people, and service performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall financial management for the branch, including annual budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and ongoing analysis of financial performance.
  • Understand, interpret, negotiate, and manage third-party service agreements and healthcare-related contracts.
Operational & Service Leadership

  • Work closely with clinical leadership to ensure services meet established quality, regulatory, contractual, and organizational standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop operational and clinical leaders, ensuring they have the direction, resources, and support required to effectively lead their respective teams.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold leaders accountable for performance while fostering an environment of trust, collaboration, and continuous development.
Health and Safety
  • Work with clinical and operational leaders to ensure adherence to applicable government requirements, organizational policies, contractual obligations, and ensure the operation maintains high standards of quality, safety and client service.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure appropriate leadership accountability for safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
Qualification & Experience

  • Demonstrated commercial and business development experience, with a track record of identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, strengthening and expanding client relationships, and contributing to new or expanded services and revenue opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the Nova Scotia healthcare landscape and the stakeholders involved in healthcare and community service delivery across the province.
  • Strong financial management experience, including responsibility for budgets, financial performance, forecasting, and expense management.
  • Experience interpreting and managing complex service agreements or contracts; direct experience negotiating third-party or healthcare-related agreements.
  • A university degree or college diploma in a related discipline is considered an asset.

  • Strong business judgment, strategic thinking, and an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset.
  • Valid driver's licence and flexibility for occasional travel as required.

The successful candidate will be a pragmatic, collaborative leader with experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams in a complex healthcare or related service environment.

Opportunity Highlights
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery in Nova Scotia, with a strong focus on clients, their experience, and the quality of care and services they receive.
  • Broad leadership accountability across people, operations, financial performance, client relationships, contract management, service quality, and continued business growth.
