Job summary

Mattamy Homes Canada is seeking an Architectural Technologist in Mississauga to translate design concepts into accurate, code-compliant construction documentation for residential projects. The role emphasizes detailed drafting, Revit model management, and coordination with multiple consultants.

You will ensure compliance with building codes and zoning regulations while supporting design development and permitting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Technology, or a related field required.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in architectural documentation.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction methodology, and detailing.
• Experience with residential construction projects is an asset.
• Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (or applicable local building code).
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit required.
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate, and complete permit and construction drawings packages.
• Solid understanding of municipal zoning by-laws and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

What we offer

The Architectural Technologist is a detail-oriented role that will translate design concepts into accurate, code-compliant construction documentation, with a focus on residential projects. This role suits a highly organized, self-motivated professional with strong technical drafting skills and solid knowledge of building codes and zoning requirements, and comfortable carrying documentation sets through to issue.

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is $57,500 - $87,500. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills. We recognize that exceptional situations may fall outside this range, and we encourage all interested candidates to apply.

You are also eligible to participate in Mattamy’s annual bonus program which gives you the opportunity to increase your total compensation if business and individual goals are achieved.
