What We Are Seeking

The Intermediate Technologist provides leadership and guidance to team members in the production of all aspects of a project including schematic design, design development, working drawings, construction administration and team coordination. The successful applicant will bring passion, leadership and creativity to the role. The successful candidate will have design experience and a solid technical background including demonstrated ability to work in Revit, AutoCAD and 3D modeling software. Our current portfolio of work includes local and international work in healthcare, innovative office design and urban residential with a focus on sustainable design.

Job Duties:

• Review and communicate current project status to the Project Manager or Job Captain at regular intervals
• Work with the team to ensure project success as measured by client satisfaction, work quality, profitability, and fostering team professionalism and collaboration
• Lead team members and actively participate in the preparation of drawing packages for various permit submissions and/or construction
• Coordinate consultant teams
• Liaise with clients and Approving Authorities when requested
• Prepare project code analysis
• Review drawings for Building Science accuracy, consultant coordination and compliance with local Building Codes and City Bylaw requirements prior to submissions
• Participate in product research including building components and systems

This includes understanding and following all relevant guidelines, participating in mandatory training sessions, and consistently practicing safe work habits. You are responsible for identifying and reporting potential hazards, contributing to a safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Qualifications:

• Architectural Technologist Diploma or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution
• 5-9 years related experience as an Architectural Technologist
• Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Revizto, and AutoCAD is essential
• Proficiency in Sketchup, Navisworks would be considered an asset, but not required
• Understands conceptual design and works to ensure design intent is delivered
• Intellectually curious and a willingness to learn and take accountability for your role participates in continuing education opportunities and attends lunch and learns
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excels in a collaborative team environment
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
